Here in Australia we are still far behind some parts of the world in the acceptance of thermal imaging, however the recent Swine Flu alert has been very instrumental in raising the profile of thermography, right around the world.

In early May 2009, anyone coming through an International Arrivals terminal in most major airports around the world, would have been screened automatically, by a thermal imaging camera.

For the past couple of years major news networks in the US, from time to time, have aired short clips about thermal imaging, always heavily prefaced however, by disclaimers about mammography being the gold standard.
