A picture’s worth a 1000 words. Please take a few moments to watch this short video clip from You Tube which profiles both mammography and thermography and its effectiveness as a tool for early breast cancer detection.
By recording infrared heat from the body’s surface, DITI may detect subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it’s cancer, fibrocystic disease, mastitis, benign tumors, infection, or dysfunction.
It’s a painless, state of the art clinical test without any exposure to radiation, and it’s being utilised as part of an early detection program which gives women of ALL ages, the opportunity to increase their chances of detecting breast cancer, at a far earlier stage.
This 15 minute non invasive test is a valuable procedure for alerting your GP or specialist to the possibility of underlying breast disease.
Effective on Dense, Fibrous or Tender Tissue no matter what Age
No Danger to Breast Implants
No Compression
No Radiation
Safe During Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Very Affordable
DITI offers accurate, earlier detection of changes in breast tissue, than has previously been possible with breast self-exam, doctor examination or mammography alone, and is a very useful tool in increasing your chances of detecting breast cancer in it’s earliest stages.
Another benefit is that this test is designed to improve the ability for detecting fast - growing tumours in the intervals between mammogram screenings, or when mammography is not indicated by screening guidelines for women under the age of 50. It can also monitor existing abnormal physiology and establish if there are any risk factors for the development or existence of cancer.
Thermography can detect the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it’s cancer, fibrocystic disease, an infection or a vascular disease. Your doctor can then plan accordingly and lay out a careful program to further diagnose and /or MONITOR you during and after any treatment. It’s a far kinder way to treat already traumatised breast tissue, than repeated mammogram screenings too !!
When used in conjunction with other procedures, such as regular breast examination by yourself, and your doctor, the best possible evaluation of breast health can be made.
The beauty of DITI is that it’s completely painless and non - invasive, which encourages a lot of women to pay far more attention to what can be a life threatening issue. The discomfit of mammograms has caused a lot of women to neglect what should be a regular annual part of their life.
Early Detection Guidelines
One day there may be a single method for the early detection of breast cancer. Until then, using a combination of methods will increase your chances of detecting cancer in an early stage. The following guidelines should be considered along with your background and medical history, and become your mantra for health & wellbeing, and they include :
A regular breast examination by a health professional
A monthly breast self - examination
Personal awareness of what breast changes to look for
Annual DITI screening for all women aged 40 or older, or if you are in a younger ‘high risk category’
Readiness to discuss quickly any changes found, with a health professional and seek further clinical correlation by mammogram / ultrasound / MRI
All patients thermograms (breast images) are kept on record for 7 years and form a baseline for all future routine evaluations.
Initially two scans, 90 days apart are required, to have a comparison, and if nothing changes during that time frame, the patterns are like your unique ‘thermal fingerprint’, which will only change over time, if there are problems.
